Your local Extended Services team work in practical ways in the Bedlington Partnership area to ensure extended services is developed to meet local needs and gaps in current provision. Kim Green the new Extended Services Coordinator/Parent Support Partner has been in post from April 2009. Steve Horsfield a member of the senior management team of Meadowdale Middle School has been seconded initially two days per week to lead the service and they are supported by an Extended Services LEA advisor Carol Leckie and Daphie Smith consultant central team. In addition the service has commisioned James Milne a funding consultant to look at finding additional funding to supplement our activity budget and support individual schools on projects.
These posts are funded from staffing money that was allocated until 2011 by the Government, through Northumberland County Council. Although the staff are employed by the Partnership, as part of the county model one school has responsiility for holding the budget, at present this school is BCHS .
